I really respect what he went through time and space with hatred, prejudice etc. However, I learned that he could not be the first black player to play professional baseball. He could be good player first to play for, but maybe there's another black man who was not as great as Jackie, but was the first African American playerhowever, who could not obtain recognition, because it is a great player. Or maybe I'm just a little stretch. Jackie Robinson is really the first player to play professional baseball?

Jackie was in fact the first to play knowingly as an African-American. Larry Doby played that year, but signed a few months after Jackie "broke the color barrier. Doby was the first African AL-Americana.
